Season 14 - Madagascar
Jay, Lincoln, Sam, welcome back to America with the final tribal of Madagascar! This season has been a crazy bunch of twists and turns and I want to thank everyone who played in this season!
Inside this urn are eight votes, so without further adieu, let's find out the winner of this season!
Spencer:
Kaeden:
Taylor:
Charley:
Trace:
Craig:
Sergiu:
And Eddie:
AFTER AN INSANE 5-3-0 VOTE, CONGRATULATIONS, SAM FOR WINNING Survivor: Madagascar! Our fourteenth and third female winner!!!
Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enEr-AZHDEQ
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g38GK-05SXA
A list of apologies:
1. Sorry that it's in 2 parts because I accidentally hit stop recording at the end of part one and can't figure out how to merge 2 videos. gj @ me.
2. Sorry that it's so long and rambly and incoherent. Finalists, if you have any questions about what I was asking from you just post them here and I'll try to clear it up.
3. Sorry that I'm last... for everything... as usual. lol.
Anyway... Good luck!
Well, technically there is one more speech after me, but just ignore that part... Good luck to the three of you!
Please answer all the questions asked as honestly as possible.
I'm voting for Sam. There is no changing my mind.
Lincoln - The fact that you made a final 3 previously should have been a lesson to you. You knew what it took to get to the end and lose, and after an experience like that I would've liked for you to make it to the end and win. Sadly, no one respects your game. Rightfully so too. Jay played with a bit of deception and tact, Sam played with a bit of perseverance and strategic insight. Lincoln, you were... a vote. Honestly. I never saw you thinking for yourself, and the rest of the jury feels the same way. It's disappointing that you had played this game previously and knew how to place third and yet... here you are. You're about to place third again. Sucks to suck, Lincoln, but that's the truth. I'm sorry you wasted two months of your life just to get third, but maybe you should have thought for yourself and made moves. You have no one but yourself to blame.
Jay - You were a very socially adequate person, I will give you that. From personal experience you had me thinking that voting out Trace was a good idea for a solid hour. After I started thinking about it, I realized that it would be a mistake to vote Trace, but it was too late. Due to a moderation error, you got what you wanted and now you are sitting here. The main reasons I am not voting for you are... you amassed an army of sheep who couldn't think for themselves, and that's just not a respectable way in my opinion to play the game. You also only got here because of a moderation error. Mods made a mistake a few times in this game in my voting urn, and you lucked out from that. Honestly... you shouldn't have gotten this far if the mods could have been half as consistent this game with the way I vote. You hid behind 2 sheep, an individual immunity idol, and a few immunities, and I don't think I can reward a coward.
Sam - Good game :) Thanks for putting up with me and moderation in this game, and being an all around bad ass. This game put you through so much nonsense, yet you stuck with it and showed your effort. I'm proud, the rest of the jury should be proud too, and I hope you get the necessary jury votes that it takes to win :D
Well great job guys. I can say that I am a big survivor fan and my vote will be based on 2 important things for survivor: strategy and social game as for an online game beauty or brawns does not really matter (maybe just for Eddie)
I will start with Lincoln: no moves for the entire game, you were a follower and I do understand your strategy Nathalie – Russel idea but Sam and Jay are not Russel so this strategy is not good when you go to the end with two likable players.
Social game: close to 0, I mean we were in same alliance but you never came 2 me from your own for a shitty chat or ask me anything at all about me beyond the game only time we did had a small chat about our countries and us was when I initiate the chat. The biggest thing I am disappointed is that at F4 you asked to be kept around as an easy player to beat at the end and this is not a strategy when you write in public and the jury can see this.
Sam: I want for you to explain me the big move you tried to do at F7. We had long talks (mostly between me and you as Craig was always offline) but we agreed that the best move from a strategic point of view and for our fans game play will be to outlast all the other favorites. At F7 you changed that and tried vote me out even if you were trying to vote one of the most hated players from this ORG. Do you think is a smart strategy to sit in the finale next to Jay / or Eddie/Trace? You made your game play harder with that move at F7 in my opinion just for 2 reasons: sitting in the finale with an inactive player and the other one hated even by players whom he never talk with it would be smarter choice in my opinion and second is that at F5 you lost the control of your own faith in this game. You are a smart player and you know at F5 when Eddie won the immunity you would had been in danger, most probable the player voted out.
Social game : you were a nice person overall and you tried and I think you accomplish a strong social game but lot of times whatever you told to us was pure crap : sorry Sergiu we wanted Jay out , is not against you. Sorry Taylor for being voted out, I was scared for a tie… sorry sorry is all we got from you and let’s be serious is pure CRAP and you know it.
Jay you played the best strategic game you could possible play. I am happy I was in the same alliance with you and I had the chance to learn some survivor moves. You tried give me lot of good advices as not to overplay / not to get in fights with Eddie, is NOT your fault I didn’t listen but I do appreciate what I learned from you during this season.
Social game: I didn’t liked it tbh. You were seen as being arrogant by lot of jury members and let’s be serious lot of times you actually were , even in our alliance you don’t need to say every day “all the moves that were done were because of me” ….this is not smart at all in my opinion even if is true .
At the end I just want to say I judge the player not the person. I totally loved all 3 of you as how you are as PERSONS and even if I have to stand Eddie at ponderosa ( trust me is really hard sometimes , he wakes up in the night screaming Sergiu you are ugly , Sergiu I hate you lool ) I am happy to see all of you at the end . In a particular way you are all beautiful as individuals and I am happy I got the chance to play with you being part of the same alliance.
First of all let me start with crap that I bet everyone will say, "OMG congratz for being in the final 3 you totes deserve it and you outlasted 17 people <3." Well, actually, Sam and Jay outlasted 18 people because Lincoln has a -9999999999999999 percent chance of winning this game.
So, Lincoln let me start with you. You were a nice guy and I like you as a friend, but you were absolutely anti-social, whiny, always complaining, you didn't know how to start conversations, you were lazy, you didn't bother with challenges, you had 0 social or physical or strategic game, you rode not only Jay's coittail but mine too, you were only online to vote and for nothing else really, and on top of that, you gave up because your game sucked, when you really just could have made a decent speech. Anyways, you aren't getting my vote.
Sam. I may sound bitter saying this because I failed to vote you out, but, this is what I really think. I have absolutely no clue what the hell your strategy was besides kiss ass and play the innocent girl act. Really though, don't get me wrong, it's a legit strategy, but you did it the whole damn game. I honestly have no idea if you had a different strategy at any time. Pre-merge I actually forgot you were in the game because you never talked in the tribe chats or any alliance chats. And to be honest I have no idea why you are being praised for playing "a better game than everyone else". And I don't think you deserve to win because you were the last fan standing. One more hint of advice, don't apologize to everyone after they are voted out. But you still may get my vote.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, the moment you have all been waiting for, Jay! First of all Jay I just wanna say <3333333 and congratulations. Now Jay, you played the game how a real winner should. You dominated physically, you were one the of best strategic players, and to me, you played a great social game. You also took the time to find the idol and you didn't make the mistake of telling anyone, not even your allies, which is a good thing. Man you and I were as tight as my fist when I was voted out, and man even tighter than how Mike and I were pre-merge. And I think out of the 3 of you sitting here, you deserve the title of Sole Survivor the most.
Now I want all 3 of you to post one word that you think describes each juror. kthxbai
Alright guys, first of all congrats on making it this far, it was a rough game and you guys made it through so good job.
I also wanted to say, that through thinking through all your games I can respect parts of all of your games, and knowing how brutal some speeches may be, I decided to try and be nice, so I'll tell you what I respect most about your game, and things I didn't like. But I do think all of you did something to get here, but that's just me.
Lincoln, I'm just going to say it I'm not going to vote for you. I understand your strategy, or at least what I percieve to be your strategy but it didn't work this time. But you attatched yourself to a bigger threat, and it did get you further than it got us. I don't think it's a winning strategy, but if your goal is to make the end then you did that, and that's something a lot of people can't say.
Moving on to Sam. Sam, I'm not sure if I'll vote for you, but I will give you a chance because I actually did enjoy your speech I think it was really well written. Thinking about your game, I think you dominated in manipulation. I mean, I didn't trust you at my boot, but Trace and Eddie did and that was actually impressive considering how you had just screwed them over the round prior. So your manipulation is good. But my problem with your game is you didn't seem to own anything. I mean, I don't know where good girl ends and survivor player begins. And that does kind of bother me because I think you really gotta own your game, and waiting until the final tribal just seems a bit too little too late. I don't know what moves you actually did because pre merge you were off the radar, and post merge you didn't seem to own anything. That's how I see your game at least.
And finally Jay. Oh Jay, I really came into this gung ho about voting for you. And your speech was good but again I liked Sams. But you are still highest in consideration, but I do want to see how you answer my question because I do think there's a chance you could fuck it up. But anyways, I really respect your game. The way I see it, we all went to war with you and you won, most of us on the jury wanted you out at one point or another and you just pulled the trigger first, or got enough bullets to pull it off. But my problem with your game is you just came off as arrogant. I can't even describe it but even when I was aligned with you you just acted like you were in charge and you were the ultimate player and making the big moves, when big moves didn't need to be made. It almost came off like you were better than a lot of people at survivor, but I'm not sure if that was intended but again, that was my perception sometimes.
So, here is my question that I want Sam and Jay to answer. Not a question, more of a task, but compare the people of the jury to an animal. It sounds completely stupid, but I want to see how well your perception is on the game, if you can read people correctly. So, compare us to animals, and don't be too negative because god knows we have enough of that.
Good luck!
I'd like to start off by thanking everyone for making this a crazy yet fun experience! Thanks to everyone I've played with and thanks to the mods for taking the time to organize this for us and for casting me! I'll try to keep this as short as possible but I feel like not a lot of people understood my game and I have a lot to clarify so bear with me here.
Coming into this game, I had one goal; to win. My strategy was to lay low and not put a target on my back until I needed to make bold moves. I think that I am very self-aware and I used that to my advantage. I am a shy person and extremely competitive; a combination that I felt worked very well for me in this game. I knew that there were people here with big egos, especially with the favorites, and I was careful not to overstep them. Once we were put into our "real" tribes, I knew it was in my best interest to lay low. I knew that if I tried to pull anything with anyone I would immediately become a target. I allowed people to come to me. I stayed quiet and reserved in order to make sure no one would see me as a social and/or strategic threat. I had people coming to me with information and I withheld any information I received from everyone else. I wanted to know everything and no one else needed to know how much I knew.
The entire game I have been fending for myself. I never had immunity to hide behind and I never had an idol to protect myself. From day 1, I have been looking out for myself and I was trying to keep myself alive. The only time I didn't have to worry was when Betsiboka was immune, otherwise I was vulnerable at every tribal council. I have defied the odds to be here. Against what anyone would have believed when this game started, I am both the last fan and female left in this game. I do believe that I am deserving of the title of sole Survivor and I hope that you can recognize how hard I have worked to earn my spot in the final 3. I realize that a lot of you feel like I haven't done much to deserve my spot, but that was part of my strategy. I didn't want anyone to recognize me as a threat. I understand how I am perceived by people and I worked with that. I let people believe that they were stringing me along, I let people believe that I felt vulnerable, I let people believe that I was weak and I let people believe I didn't have a strategy. But perception is not always reality and I hope that you guys take this opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication I put into this game. If you have any questions about my game I would be more than happy to answer so ask away! Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Everyone knows who terrible I am with words, so I will be quick this time.
Coming to this season, I just wanted to prove, mostly to myself, that I don't need to win immunities to reach the finals, so my main goal was to be more social during the game.
At the start of the game, I was on the outs, and made an alliance with Jay, and tried my best to stay in touch with almost everyone. I think I managed to keep this for a good time, but then I felt betrayed (by almost each of you at least once), and I'm not that type of person who just pretend that nothing happened and keep everything the same way, so I just stopped to talk with some people.
I think after the merge I was everytime less and less motivated about this game, and I was almost half of the time sick, so I wasn't just caring anymore, and I was just hoping this to be over soon.
But anyway, I didn't win immunities, I did what I wanted to do, I reached what I wanted to reach, and finishing in 3rd with zero votes again or winning, I am proud of the way I played, and that's what matters to me.
I am going to try and make this short so you guys don't have to read a book. If there is anything specific you want to know about my game play I will be happy to answer it.
Last time I played this game I got 4th after being in a position where I wasn't able to make a lot of the decisions that occurred after the merge. This time around I decided that in order to have a shot at winning I was going to have to take the game into my own hands and have as much control as I could, and since the re-swap I was able to accomplish that.
I was able to persuade players to do what I needed in order to accomplish my goals throughout the game. The only time I wasn't able to do this was when Kaeden was voted out, besides that every person that went out was done so in the order not that I wanted, but that I needed. I knew who was close to me, who was a threat to beat me in the end and who was most likely to do what I wanted. It was because of these reasons that I chose (aside from Kaeden) the order I needed each of you voted out of the game.
I know a lot of you are bitter towards me and to a sense I can understand that. Did I lie at times? Yes. Did I manipulate players to get what I wanted? Absolutely. But these were things I needed to do in order to give myself the best chance at winning. The one thing that I did NOT do throughout the whole game was make anything personal. I never told anyone I felt bad for a vote I was going to be making because I was never making a vote against a person, it was always a vote against a player that was a threat to my best chance at winning this game.
The control I had over the game to get what I wanted, the ability I had to get myself out of situations when I was in trouble and my ability to get to the end on my own terms I believe shows that I was the best player of the season. If you want to hold it against me that I needed to play this game as hard as I could and make it personal then that is fine, I think it says more about you as a player then me. But if you want to vote for the person who played the game to its full potential, the player who played the hardest and the strongest game, then I believe I should receive your vote.
Welcome Sam, Jay and Lincoln to your final Tribal Council!
Now we bring our jury:

Avahy Maki, this is your eighth Tribal and after this tribal, Day 39 will be upon you! However, one of you will not be able to win this game. Before we vote, I would like to ask you some questions:
*Eddie, are you worried it could be you tonight? What do you do to make sure it isn't you?
*Sam, You are the last fan AND woman left in this game. What are your chances of getting voted out?
*Lincoln, you were one point away from beating Jay. Is that one point going to cost you everything?
*Jay, the last time you sat in the Final Four, you were in the minority and vulnerable. You now sit here again, but THIS time you have immunity and one of three spots in Final Tribal. How does it feel?
*Also Sam, Eddie, and Lincoln, state why you should attend the final tribal council.
With that, it is time to vote. Since Jay has immunity, you can not vote for him. Everyone else is fair game. Send your votes to survivororgmadagascar@gmail.com by 23:30 UTC on April 29rd. Anyone who fails to do so receives a self vote.
Good Luck!
